Hello you lovely lot,
so today I am back with more recent things I have been up too, I’m trying to keep you up to date as I go along, however it doesn’t seem to happen that way so I have to give you all in one hit…. Still it gives you lots of juicy goss and tips and news to gobble up with a nice cuppa and some bickies
so this week I have had the lovely pleasure or working with Jess Taylor (actually Pietersen now) from Liberty X, those of you 27+ I’d say would hugely appreciate how great these guys were in the naughties!
Anyhow moving on to the fun stuff, Jess was attending the Pride of Britain Awards Monday evening, she had an incredible frock, amazing hair, now all she needed was for me to create a gorgeous smokey, yet not too much, sexy and seductive look, yet classy to go with the rest of her look, which with a face like Jess has it really isn’t hard to figure out what works well with her, she is just gorgeous.
I started with prepping her skin with Laura Mercier Radiance primer followed with my absolutely favorite foundation by Shisiedo, Perfect Refining foundation, it works a dream, gives you a light weight flawless finish, and skin to die for. My number 1 product.
I then prepped the eyes with concealer followed by loose powder to soak the oils on the eye lid ensuring the eye makeup stays in place for the night.
Below are the products I used on Jess to create her smokey eyes, I started with the cream eye colour and covered the lid in this up to her brow bone to act as a highlight, I then used the cream eyeliner by Clinique in smoke grey and blended into the outer corners of the eye and upwards to the crease, lots of blending required here so make sure you don’t let the cream based products sit on the lid too long or they will dry making it difficult to blend. Now for my secret weapon, this could glamourise a carrot, it’s just GORGEOUS! Let me introduce to you MAC’s gold reflects pigment pot, and it is so easy to apply! Once you have blended and created a smokey eye simply use an eyeshadow brush, press into the pigment pot, then press your brush onto the lid of the pot so excess of the product fall into it and you can use later, then simply press onto the eye lid, the inner eye and across the lid to the middle, this will sparkle beautiful and really glam up that smokey eye. To finish define the eye with a black cat flick and roll some black kohl liner into and onto the water line of your eye for a super sexy smokey eye! You can even smudge with a small soft brush any excess kohl liner that falls onto the lashes under your eye for the full Jess smokey eye like I have done.
